Acoustic jazz, world music, new age, classical - it all fits.

Playing an eclectic mix of musical styles, Ostgard & Allen features Steven Ray Allen on classical and steel string guitar and Doug Ostgard playing the family of woodwinds including flutes, oboe, sax, bassoon, Irish whistles, recorder, and Native American flute.

Rather than restricting themselves to one style, the duo prefers to experiment, exploring any styles where they find a suitable avenue of expression. Much of their music is original, with additional music derived from classical music to jazz standards to movie themes.

Ostgard & Allen's first CD, "Silhouette," was featured on Single Of The Day and placed 3rd in the New Age Album category at the 2009 Just Plain Folk (JPF) awards, the world's largest independent music awards.
